Description
IGF-1 LR3 (Long Arg3 IGF-1) is a recombinant analog of insulin-like growth factor-1: an 83-amino-acid polypeptide with arginine substituted for glutamic acid at position 3 and a 13-amino-acid N-terminal extension. These modifications reduce binding to IGF-binding proteins (IGFBPs). It is an agonist of the IGF-1 receptor, which signals through the PI3K/Akt and MAPK pathways.
